Nepal’s Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal today appointed Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala as the new Deputy Prime Minister. Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal administered the oath of office and secretary to Sujata Koirala as the new Deputy Prime Minister at a function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Kathmandu this evening in the presence of President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.<br/> <br/>Talking briefly to newsmen after taking oath, the new Deputy Prime Minister said she is fully committed to the peace and constitutional drafting process. Sujata Koirala who is the daughter of the Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala, is leading the Nepali Congress Ministerial team in the CPN (UML) led coalition government. She is the second cabinet minister to be elevated to the post of Deputy Prime Minister. Earlier, Physical Planning Minister and Chairman of the Madhesh Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) Bijay Kumar Gachchadar have been made the Deputy Minister. <br/><br/>
