Suicide car blast kills 20 including 17 policemen in NW Pakistan

In Pakistan, a suicide car blast on Wednesday evening in the country's northwest city of Bannu, has so far reportedly killed some 20 people including 17 policemen and injured 20 others.According to local media reports, the attack took place at about 6:00 p.m. when an explosive-laden car rammed into a police station, completely having it destroyed and partially damaging a nearby mosque. Many people were said to be near the site when the blast occurred.All the injured people have been rushed to a district hospital in the city and the blast site has been cordoned off. Details about the identity of the suicide bomber are not immediately available. However, Pakistan Taliban (TTP) has claimed the responsibility for the blast.This is third blast that took place in Pakistan on Wednesday. Earlier in the afternoon, two blasts occurred in Peshawar, leaving two women killed and seven others including three children injured.
