In Afghanistan, a suicide bomber was shot dead during an exchange of fire near police headquarters in the capital of Zabul province, Qalat today. Meanwhile his accomplice has escaped. <br/><br/>The deputy provincial police chief, Ghulam Jilani said both the attackers armed with suicide vests and automatic weapons stormed the main police station. He said one of the bombers was killed and the hunt is underway to capture the other militant.<br/>
