In Iraq, a suicide bomber has killed at least 25 people and injured seventy others in a town north of Baghdad. Iraqi officials say the attacker is believed to have detonated an explosives vest in a cafe in the town of Balad Ruz, in Diyala province. Reports say, most of the victims were men playing dominos and drinking tea in the cafe when the explosion took place. The area is said to be home to many Shias of Kurdish origin. It is the first major bomb attack in Iraq in more than a month.
