In Iraq, at least 12 worshippers have been killed and 30 others injured in a suicide bombing inside a Sunni mosque near the volatile city of Mosul. An Interior ministry source said the incident occurred when a bomber blew up his explosive belt among worshippers inside the al-Taqua mosque in the town of Tal Afar, west of Mosul during Friday noon prayers. One police officer said the bomber opened fire with a gun, and then blew himself up.
