Suicide bomb attack kills at least eighteen people in Kabul

At least eighteen people, including women and children, have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on a NATO convoy in the Afghan capital, Kabul. One Canadian and five American troops were among the dead. <br/><br/>About 50 people were injured in the deadliest attack this year. The bomber struck during rush hour close to the Parliament. <br/><br/>The Taliban said it carried out the bombing, using a van packed with 750 kilograms of explosives, worst in the city for months. NATO described the attack as an act of desperate brutality. <br/>
