In Iraq, 60 people have been killed and more than 150 injured a suicide bomb attack on Iraqi police recruits in Tikrit on Tuesday. According to National Iraqi news agency, the incident occurred when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest among a group of young men who were about to join the Iraqi police force in the country's northern city of Tikrit. Police rushed to the site, closed the ways and evacuated the victims. Deputy Governor of Salahuddin province Ahmed Abdul-Jabbar has said that al Qaeda is responsible for the act. Tikrit is the capital city of Salahuddin province situated 160 km north of Baghdad.
