In Afghanistan, a massive suicide car bomb killed 16 people including six Italian soldiers in capital Kabul today. More than 50 people including 4 soldiers were wounded in the incident when the suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden vehicle near a military convoy carrying Italian soldiers. Interior ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary said twenty-one shops and seven vehicles were destroyed in the attack, which occurred on the main road to the airport. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack which caused maximum number of casualties among foreign soldiers in a single incident during past one year. President Hamid Karzai has condemned the incident terming it an act of enemies of Afghanistan. This is the fourth suicide car bomb attack in capital Kabul in nearly a month.
