In Pakistan, at least 50 people were killed and over 100 injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque,in the restive Khyber tribal region in the northwest of the country. The mosque was full of Friday worshippers.According to local media, the blast took place this afternoon when a teenager suicide bomber blew himself up when worshippers were leaving a Jama Masjid after prayers at the Ghondi area of Jamrud district bordering Afghanistan.Hundreds of people were present at the time of the blast. Some reports said that over one hundred people were inside the mosque while others put the number at some 500 to 700 people.The blast was so powerful that a portion of the mosque was damaged and its walls developed large cracks.The injured have been taken to hospitals in Jamrud and nearby Peshawar city for treatment. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
