In Afghanistan, at least 12 people were killed and 40 others injured in an hours-long suicide bomb and gun attack on a mosque in the capital Kabul today. <br/><br/>Deputy Interior Ministry spokesman said a suicide bomber detonated himself at the gate of the mosque as other attackers stormed the building as worshippers gathered for Friday prayers. <br/><br/>Islamic State claimed responsibility for today's attack in the Khair Khana area of the capital Kabul.
