In Iraq, at least 28 people were killed and more than 30 others injured in a bomb blast on Sunday evening. The dead include a member of the Iraqi Parliament Khaled al-Fahdawi. According to Iraqi National News agency, the incident occurred when a suicide bomber struck inside Baghdad’s largest Sunni mosque. Officials say a high-profile religious leader, who was at the mosque, was the intended target, but he was not injured.
