Food Corporation of India has said that it has sufficient stock of food grains to meet the demand under the extended Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana- PMGKAY. <br />''<br />''Talking exclusively to AIR News,&nbsp; Chairman and Managing Director of FCI D. V. Prasad said, it has&nbsp; currently a stock of 95 million tonnes of food grains out of which 55 million tonnes are wheat and 40 million tonnes are rice. Mr Prasad said, in the next few months, the FCI will supply 50 million tonnes of food grains- rice and wheat to the states out of which 20 million tonnes will be for PMGKAY.<br />''&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br />''AIR correspondent reports that the government has extended Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for another five months from July to November this year. <br />''<br />''Under the scheme, five kilograms of wheat or rice and one kilogram of whole chana per month are being provided free of cost to nearly 81 crore&nbsp; beneficiaries covered under National Food Security Act, 2013. The&nbsp; scheme was initially rolled out for three months till June to ensure no poor goes hungry during the COVID-19 crisis.<br />
