Sufficient stock of fertiliser and seeds in Karnataka, says Agriculture Minister

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Agriculture Minister B C Patil has said that there is sufficient stock of fertiliser and seeds in the state to meet the demands of the farmers for the current farming season. Speaking to media persons in Haveri today, in the state, the minister informed that the state has six lakh 83 metric tons of fertiliser. </span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;"><br />''</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">A consignment of 26000 metric tonne DIP fertiliser has reached the Mangalore port which will also be available for distribution to the farmers. The state Agriculture minister added that Union Health, Chemicals and Fertilisers minister Mansukh Mandaviya has also assured the state of meeting all demands. He warned those hoarding fertiliser and farming seeds and said that criminal cases will be filed against those creating artificial scarcity. Mr Patil informed that the Central Government has announced a subsidy on the fertilisers to reduce the burden on the farmers who are ready to begin the sowing activities in the state. </span></p>
