<br/>The Government of Sudan has signed a cease fire agreement with one of the main rebel factions in Darfur. The deal with the Justice and Equality Movement , includes a framework agreement for further talks. It is being seen as an important advance towards peace in Darfur although Region's other main rebel groups so far refused to enter talks. The Sudanese Presidential Adviser says the ceasefire is an important first step towards an overall settlement.
