The sub group on skill development will submit its draft report within 15 days to the Prime Minister. Talking to reporters after the last meeting of the group in New Delhi this afternoon, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, who is heading it, said there is an urgent need for providing skill training to youth as the rate of unemployment is high in the country. He said, several good suggestions received from the states are expected to be incorporated in the final report.<br/> Chief Minister of Assam Tarun Gogoi said, there is a need to fill the infrastructure gap in the states. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had constituted the sub group on Skill Development in February. It was tasked to recommend how NITI Aayog can promote skill development and creation of skilled manpower within states.
