<span style="color: #222222;">The Indian School Certificate Examination Board has informed the Bombay High Court that its students will have the option of appearing for their pending exam in July or have their final results determined based on internal assessment. In a note, submitted yesterday, the board said that all students in India and abroad will have this option. ICSE said, each of its affiliated schools will be required to ascertain the option selected by their students and inform the board before 22nd of June. A division bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice S S Shinde was hearing a petition filed by Mumbai resident Arvind Tiwari challenging the ISCE's decision to hold its 10th Standard board examinations from 2nd to 12th of July across Maharashtra.<br />'' <br />''Considering the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, Tiwari had claimed that it will not be safe for students to appear for the exam. After perusing the board's decision, the court adjourned the matter for further hearing till tomorrow. Maharashtra has 226 schools affiliated to ICSE board. A total of 23,347 students were scheduled to appear for the 10th Standard examinations.</span><br />
