Students and Junior Residents continue to strike in Safdarjung Hospital

Students and Junior Residents continue to strike work in the Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi for the second day. They are protesting against the lack of basic facilities in the hostels. AIR correspondent who visited the hospital reports that the Emergency and OPD services are functioning almost normally. Talking to AIR, the President of Student Welfare Association, Karan Vatsa said that they are in touch with the authorities to resolve the issue but assurances given by them are not acceptable to the students. He regretted the inconvenience being cause to the patients due to the strike, saying that they were forced to take this extreme step.<br/>There was no response from the hospital management as it did not respond to the queries of the reporters.<br/>
