In Andhra Pradesh, the pro-Telangana agitator, who attempted self immolation yesterday on Osmania University campus in Hyderabad, has succumbed to burns in the hospital this morning. Police said, Yadaiah, the 19-year old intermediate student was succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment and his body was shifted to his native village, Naagaram, in Ranga Reddy district.He reportedly attempted self immolation after disheartening that separate Telangana state was being delayed. Meanwhile, tense atmosphere continued till late last evening on the Osmania University campus, the nerve centre of student agitation on statehood issue after student-police clashes. The students staged angry demonstrations after Yadagiri’s self immolation. The tragedy has also evoked protests by students at several other districts in the region.
