<span style="color: #222222;">A 16-year-old student was killed and 19 students and a 40-year-old female attendant were injured in the premises of Carmel Convent School of Chandigarh on Friday when a tree fell on them.<br />'' <br />'' The seriously injured student was immediately rushed to PGIMER where she was declared brought dead.<br />'' <br />''The students and female attendant who suffered minor injuries are being treated in different hospitals. Home Secretary, Chandigarh, Deputy Commissioner, Chief Conservator of Forest and Secretary Health of Chandigarh Administration visited the school and the hospitals. A committee of the officials from Municipal Corporation, Forest Department and Horticulture Wing has been set up to visit the schools and other education institutions and inspect the trees in and around the premises to avoid any such incident in the future. </span><br />
