Stuart Broad's career best 6/46 restrict India to 288

England were 24 for one at close of the play on the second day of the second cricket Test against India at Nottingham yesterday. England are still trailing by 43 runs with nine second innings wickets in hand. Captain Andrew Strauss with six runs and Ian Bell with nine were at the crease at the draw of stumps. England scored 221 runs in their first innings. Earlier, Rahul Dravid cracked his second century before Stuart Broad's hat-trick triggered a dramatic collapse to restrict India's lead to 67 runs. The visitors, trailing the four-match series 0-1, were comfortably placed at 267 for four at one stage before Broad's career best 6/46 wrecked havoc to the Indian innings and they were all out for 288. Dravid with his 34th century has equalled Sunil Gavaskar's record.
