There is a strong sense of anguish in India over the way the meeting of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav with his wife and mother took place in Pakistan yesterday. <br/><br/>Jadhav's wife and mother could see him only through a glass wall and talk to him only through intercom at a highly guarded Foreign Ministry Office in Islamabad. Deputy High Commissioner of India to Pakistan JP Singh was kept at a distance from where the meeting took place, and could not interact with Jadhav.<br/><br/>Senior counsel Harish Salve, who argued Jadhav's case in the International Court of Justice, said he is concerned about the his mental-well being and is very much disappointed at the way the meeting took place. <br/> <br/> Former Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor expressed disappointment that a glass wall separated Jadhav from his mother and wife.<br/> BJP Subramanian Swamy described the way things unfolded as very uncivilised act of Pakistan. <br/><br/>He said, 47-year-old Jadhav looked aged and drugged. He told a TV channel that it looked as if Jadhav was making scripted comments from across the glass wall as he spoke in English instead of in his mother tongue which he should have done at such an emotional moment as meeting his mother and wife.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, in a video released by Pakistan yesterday, Jadhav is seen to be having bruises on his back of ears and neck. Jadhav is on death row in Pakistan on charges of spying and subversions, which has been vehemently rejected by India. Islamabad has rejected India's demand for consular access to him several times.
