Strong earthquake measuring 6.3 Richter scale hits east of Mauritius

A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale hit an area of the Indian Ocean east of Mauritius today. The US Geological Survey said the epicenter of the quake was located 320 kilometers north-east of Rodrigues Island and 901 kilometers east-north-east of Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. There are no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.
