A strong earthquake of 6.1 magnitude struck Indonesia early today at 2:33 a.m. local time. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at a depth of six miles. It had its epicenter about 135 miles north-northeast of Baubau on Sulawesi and about 1,150 miles east of the capital, Jakarta.
