An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter Scale struck off the coast of the southern Philippines today. , The US Geological Survey said the quake struck at sea at 2:47pm (local time), more than 110 kilometres from Davao city, on the southern island of Mindanao. There are no immediate reports of any damage or casualties. No tsunami warning has been issued.
