The Defence Ministry is contemplating stringent action against anyone found guilty in the Adarsh Housing Society scam case. South Block sources said, measures have also been recommended to prevent recurrence of such scams in future. Army and Navy have already submitted their report to the Ministry in this regard which is being vetted by the senior officers. Navy has expressed serious concerns over presence of a 31 storey building in a military zone which compromises the security of several sensitive installations and a nearby Naval facility. According to sources, the report submitted by the Navy says the building in Colaba comes within the security perimeter of the Navy. The reports say, it could be a location from where activities of the naval base could be easily monitored. The Army in its report has also underscored the security concerns. The report submitted to Defence ministry has requested a thorough probe. These reports are to form the basis of action to be taken by the government.
