Normal life in nine districts of eastern Nepal is disrupted today following a general strike called by Limbuwan Provincial Council in support of its five point demands including creation of a Limbuwan Autonomous State and timely drafting of the new constitution. Shops, business establishments and factories remained closed in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Ilam, Dhankuta, Panchthar, Taplejung, Terathum and Sankhuwasabha districts. Police sources said, no untoward incidents have been reported so far and long distance buses bound for various destinations have plied under police escorts.
