Strike disrupts normal banking operations

Banking operations were disrupted across the country today with the employees of public sector and some private sector banks going on a day-long strike. They were protesting against the banking sector reforms. The strike was called by the United Forum of Bank Union. Advisor of All India Bank Officers' Confederation K D Khera claimed all banking associations participated in the strike.Our Correspondent reports that operations in the branches of public sector banks in the National Capital were affected and bank ATMs also did not work.
