Strike by owners of petrol pumps in national capital

All petrol pumps in the national capital are closed today due to the strike called by the owners of petrol pumps. They are demanding rollback of increased VAT on diesel. Recently, Delhi government had raised the VAT on diesel from 12.5 percent to 20 percent which had made diesel costlier in the city. Talking to AIR, President of Delhi Petrol Dealer Association, Mr. Atul Peshawaria said while the diesel prices are high in Delhi, they are cheap in the neighbouring states.<br/>
