In Uttar Pradesh, a strict vigil is being maintained across the state in view of the 19th anniversary of demolition of disputed structure in Ayodhya. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that apart from the regular and reserved forces available at districts, about 90 companies of security forces including central Para military forces have been deployed in sensitive districts. District police chiefs and other senior police officers have been directed to carry out searches at all important places like railway stations, airports, theatres, bus stations, multiplexes, markets and government buildings. They have also been asked to carry out anti-sabotage exercise at all sensitive places and important establishments. An official spokes person said that about two dozen companies of PAC, RAF and four companies of CRPF are already deployed in Ayodhya to maintain peace.The Superintendent of police of Faizabad A. K. Rai told our Allahabad correspondent that the temple town and district has been divided into nine sectors for better security surveillance and coordination and only small Vehicles are being allowed after proper checking in the city. In view of Muhrram procession in the town, some roads in the city are closed for vehicular movement. Two units of Bomb Disposal Squads and three Anti Sabotage Teams have also been put on the job to check any untoward incident. Extra police forces from neighboring districts have also been deployed in different areas of temple town.
