Government on Tuesday stressed upon the need for effective development and management of water resources in the country. Addressing a Consultation meeting with NGOs on Review of National Water Policy, Water Resources Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal emphasised on the importance of participatory approach and engaging all stake holders to review the policy. Mr Bansal added that a series of meetings are being organised to address the water needs of the nation in a sustainable and equitable manner. He said that consultations with NGOs, academia, experts and professionals will play a significant role in reviewing the National water Policy.
