In Jammu and Kashmir, all the stranded passengers at Kargil and Srinagar are being airlifted by the airforce planes. At the request of State Chief Minister, the Defence Ministry has provided three planes which are flying between Srinagar and Leh today. <br/><br/>AIR Srinagar Correspondent reports that so far 490 passengers have reached Srinagar from Leh while 273 have left for Leh. Nearly 1000 persons were stranded at Kargil and Srinagar following closure of Srinagar- Leh highway due to heavy snowfall. <br/>
