Storming of Gaza bound aid ships convoy by Isreal invites worldwide condemnation

The violent storming of the humanitarian ships convoy destined for Gaza by Israel has set off worldwide condemnation. Israeli Naval commandos in a predawn raid on Monday stormed a civilian flotilla carrying humanitarian aid and hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists to blockaded Gaza Strip, killing at least 20 people. <br/><br/>UN Security Council members have condemned Israel's attack and urged Israel to end its blockade on the Gaza Strip. Hours after the violent seizures, thousands of people poured onto the streets of Istanbul, Ankara, Amman and other capitals, chanting anti-Israel slogans. <br/><br/>UN Chief Ban Ki-moon as well as French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel also decried Jewish state for use of force against civilians. India also joined the world community in deploring the attack. <br/><br/>AIR West Asia correspondent reports that defending the action by commandos, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the soldiers acted in self-defence.<br/>
