In Tamil Nadu, a storm warning sign cone has been hoisted at the coastal town of Pamban of Ramanathapuram district after wind speeds touched about 45 to 55 km today following formation of a depression in the Bay of Bengal. Officials said that the sea was rough in Pamban and off Mandapam coasts.
