The Deep Depression formed over the south-east Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm 'Thane' over the same area and lay centred about 830 Km South-South–East of Gopalpur in Odisha.The system is likely to move in West-North-Westwards and intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during next 24 hours. The system is likely to cross North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coast between Cuddalore and Nellore by Friday morning.Distant Warning Signal Number-Two has been hoisted at Paradip and Gopalpur ports in Odisha. Fishermen have been cautioned while venturing into the deep sea.
