Government has asked the pesticides industry to stop the injudicious use of pesticides.Addressing the four day International Conference on Agro-Chemicals Protecting Crop Health and Natural Environment in New Delhi on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Processing, Harish Rawat said, the issues like environmental safety and sustainability, through integrated pest management approaches are very important.He said, increased awareness on good agricultural practices are required for Indian farmers and entrepreneurs alike.The Minister stressed the need for youth in agriculture to champion the cause of agriculture and environment in the country through relevant technologies.AIR Correspondent reports that over 254 representatives from 12 counries are participating in this four day conference.
