Stop infra devpt in POK:India to China; Defence Mins meet in New Delhi today

India has conveyed its concern to China about its activites in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, asking it to cease its infrastructure development in POK. In a written reply in Lok Sabha yesterday, Defence Minister A.K. Antony informed that the government is aware of the infrastructure development by China at the border and their undertaking infrastructure project in POK. The Defence Minister also said that the government has taken cognizance of the growing naval presence of China in and around the Indian Ocean Region. He said, New Delhi is keeping a constant watch on all developments concerning national security and commercial interests. Necessary measures are taken to safeguard them in accordance with the prevailing security situation and strategic considerations

Meanwhile,delegation level talks will take place between India and China. Visiting Defence Minister of China, General Liang Guanglie meets Defence Minister AK Antony in New Delhi today.A defence spokesperson said in New Delhi that a number of matters relating to defence and security will be raised.
