At the domestic stock markets, the Sensex at Bombay Stock Exchange and the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed more than one percent. Both indices gained amid positive cues from global share markets.

The Sensex regained the 58,500 mark. The Nifty reclaimed 17,500 level.

The Sensex jumped 848 points, or 1.46 percent to settle at 58,863. The Nifty also surged 237 points, or 1.37 percent, to finish at 17,577.

In the broader market at the BSE, the Mid-Cap surged 1.08 percent and the Small-Cap index climbed 0.92 percent.
