Sting row: CBI to question Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat again tomorrow

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will hold second round of questioning to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat tomorrow in connection with a sting operation case.

Mr. Rawat was allegedly shown offering bribe to rebel Congress MLAs in a sting to save his government. Earlier last month, he was examined by CBI for nearly five hours and agency sources had said that he did not fully answer some questions during the session.

The TV sting was done in March, when rebel Congress lawmakers voted against the state budget, triggering a political crisis.

Later, Rawat government was sacked by the Centre and the state was placed under President's Rule. However, Congress knocked the door of the Court and Mr Rawat returned as Chief Minister after winning a trust vote ordered by the Supreme Court in May.
