In Uttar Pradesh, Special Task Force of state police and Allahabad district police in a joint operation arrested one more person in connection with bomb blast case on state government Minister Nand Gopal Gupta alias Nandi at Allahabad on 12th of last month. Police had declared a reward of one lakh rupees on his head. Quoting police sources, AIR Lucknow correspondent reports arrested person is identified as Purushottam Dwivedi and he was arrested from Colonel ganj area in Allahabad late last night. Police has claimed that he is a part of conspiracy of bomb blast and was present at the site of blast. He was absconding after the blast. A total of 9 persons have been arrested in this case including 3 motor mechanics from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. As per police main accused of this case Rajesh Pilot and one of his associate Manoj Pandey a close relative of jailed Chaka Block Pramukh are still absconding. Injured Minister Gupta and his security personnel are under treatment at SGPGI Lucknow and as per medical bulletin issued by the SGPGI condition of both of them is improving. Two persons including a journalist were succumbed to their injuries in the attack.
