Young batsman Steven Smith will lead the Australian side against India in the second Cricket Test. He has been named as new vice-captain and a stand in skipper in absence of Michael Clarke. He will continue the job as captain until Michael Clarke regains fitness and returns to the side. Brad Haddin will be his deputy. Smith's appointment comes in the wake of Clarke's potentially long-term hamstring injury
