India has taken a number of steps to check attempts of extremists groups like Islamic State to radicalise and lure Indian youth into terrorism. Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said this in a meeting with Sweden's State Secretary for Home Affairs Ann Linde in New Delhi yesterday. Mr Rijiju discussed issues like threat of IS and attempts to radicalise and steps being taken for counter-terrorism.

He also apprised Ms Linde of the initiatives to keep the activities of such groups under check. He said it is seen that parents are also discouraging their misguided children from getting attracted to radicalisation. Ms Linde said IS has become a big issue for Europe and urgent steps are being taken to protect the youth from its lure. The ministers also showed concern over forced migration from Syria and emphasised the need for their rehabilitation.
