Union Minister of State for Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan today said, steps are being taken to start passenger ship services connecting the southern ports of Kanyakumari, Thuthukudi and Rameswaram. <br />'' <br />'' Speaking at a function in Thuthukudi, the Minister said, the central government will announce compensation with regard to Cyclone Gaja destruction after the state government submits necessary statements. He also said, the Centre may conduct its own survey if necessary.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Radhakrishnan said, the central government forces rescued more than 70 Tamil fishermen during the cyclone.<br />''  <br />
