Defence Minister AK Antony has asked the Navy to maintain all time readiness for guarding national interest. Commissioning a stealth frigate INS Sahyadri into Indian Navy at Weastern Naval Command Mumbai, Antoy said the Navy needed to defend main land and off shore assets and maintain the sea lane of communication.

Talking to reporters following the commissioning, Mr. Antony said nobody found involved in any kind of corruption would be spared. Replying to a query on corruption on imagery equipment acquisition by the Army, Mr. Antony said the CBI was already inquiring the issue.

On a case of defence security paper leak, the Defence Minister asserted that it was the Government that had referred the case to the CBI and the ED. He said a proper action had been taken after the completion of the enquiry.
