<span style="color: #222222;">Union Government today said that States and Union Territories have lifted 70 lakh tonnes of food grains under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, which is about 58 per cent of the total allocation for three months. Under the scheme, five kilograms of food grains are being distributed free of cost for three months to about 80 crore beneficiaries across the country. Consumer Affairs Ministry has said that every state has completed lifting of stocks against April 2020 quota and five Union Territories have completed lifting of entire three months' quota.<br />''<br />''The Ministry said, procurement of wheat and rice during the ongoing Rabi Season has picked up pace despite severe logistical constraints posed due to the countrywide lockdown.
