States urge Centre to extend special financial aid for development projects

Members from various states today urged the Centre to extend special financial assistance for completion of the pending development projects in their respective areas. They were participating in a discussion on Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of the General Budget for 2015-16. <br/><br/>Bhartruhari Mehtab of the Biju Janata Dal wanted a special assistance to the tune of Rs 3,500 crore for the on-going and pending projects in Odisha. He also suggested the Centre to approve Mudra Bank headquarters at Bhubaneswar. <br/><br/>Rajendran of the AIADMK sought central assistance for the ongoing developmental projects including Chennai Metro in Tamil Nadu. Hukum Singh of the BJP has asked the Centre to assure basic amenities like supply of drinking water to all villages in the next four years.
