Union Minister of State for Power, Coal and Renewable Energy with independent charge, Piyush Goyal has said that the Centre sees States as partners in the efforts of development, and development should be kept above politics. Speaking to the media in Ranchi today, Mr. Goyal said that there is a wind of progress in the country and he is touring different parts of the country to accelerate the growth of power infrastructure in the country. Briefing about the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Ranchi tomorrow, Mr.Goyal said projects related to the Power and Petroleum Ministry would be commissioned, and the foundation stone of projects of the Information Technology and Communication Ministry would be laid. Replying to a question, the Minster said that if Jharkhand helps in doubling the coal production from the state, it would provide ten thousand direct and one lakh indirect employment.
