On the eve of the anniversary of the demolition of disputed structure in Ayodhya, the Centre has asked the state governments to remain in high alert as some misdirected elements may disturb communal peace. Security forces will also be deployed for maintaining law and order in sensitive places. The government has also asked the people to maintain communal peace and harmony and cooperate with the centre and state governments in this regard. While acknowledging this year has been remarkably free of any communal incident and the festivals were celebrated peacefully, the government wants that exemplary sense of unity and fraternity prevails in future as well.
