Statehood protests hit transport services in Telengana region

In Andhra Pradesh, the Rail Roko agitation continue to cripple the transport services in the Telangana region on the second day today. Rail Transport was badly hit in the region since yesterday following a 48-hour long Rail Roko agitation called by Telangana Joint Action Committee as part of its ongoing General Strike demanding for statehood. Transport services remained paralysed in the region due to the rail roko agitation and strike by auto rickshaw and state-owned bus employees demanding separate statehood. Thousands of commuters were left stranded across the region and in many cities.
