H1N1 spreading at alarming rate in Rajasthan <br/><br/>Swine flu (H1N1) is spreading at an alarming rate in Rajasthan as 28 new patients tested positive today. This month, in last 18 days a total of 393 people have been tested positive for Swine flu and 25 patients died. Last month 416 positive cases were found and taking note of this, health department has already sounded red alert in the state and it's being ensured that arrangement for collecting samples to test H1N1 are in place. <br/><br/>279 people tested positive in Jaipur district so far, which is the highest number in the state. Jodhpur is on second position with 31 positive cases. The Health department has started screening in Shelter homes and crowd-bound other places in the cities. <br/><br/>Director -Public Health Dr. V. K. Mathur told AIR that the department issued directions to send rapid response teams in affected areas to curb the spread of disease. Free sample testing facilities have been made available at government-run medical colleges and district hospitals. <br/><br/>While, 24 hr facility is also provides for sample collection, testing and treatment at SMS medical College, Jaipur. Isolation wards have been set up at District hospitals. Health Department has also made an appeal to immediately contact doctors in case flu like symptoms occur.

"The last seventy years after independence have been years of significant growth. <br/><br/>The country's food grain production increased by 8.7 percent and reached a record high of 273.83 million tonnes in 2016-17", he told. The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana initiated by the Vajpayee government has made strides in the rural development, he added. Information technology and agricultural technology will make the country mighty so as to reach all round development in the country.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that, topmost priority is given to developing agricultural sector by using modern technology being adopted all over the world with the coordination of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Several state ministers including Agricultural Minister Somireddi Chandra Mohan Reddy, CEOs and representatives from various countries took part in the inaugural session.

Met Dept warns of heavy rain in northern Odisha today<br/><br/>Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in Odisha today, under influence of a low pressure over North Bay of Bengal. <br/><br/>Bhubaneswar Met office said, the upper air cyclonic circulation over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood has formed into a low pressure area over the bay and adjoining south Bangladesh. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, the Met bulletin said the low pressure has become stationary at one point and is moving very slowly. <br/><br/>Under its impact heavy rain may occur at one or two places in some districts of North Odisha including Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj, besides, other parts of the state to witness rain fall till Tuesdy. <br/><br/>The bulletin forecast strong and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40 to 45 kmph is likely to prevail along Odisha coast and advised fishermen are not to venture into the sea until further update. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, reports received that at least three persons were killed and one injured in separate lightning strikes on Sunday in Jajpur and Dhenkanal district of the State. <br/>

Impending reshuffle in Union Council of Ministers and internal security issues were discussed on the first day of coordination meet of RSS in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh yesterday. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take part in the meeting today. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that on the first day of three day long coordination meet RSS pracharaks supported government on issues like GST and Demonetization. RSS also hailed the Kashmir policy of government. The Sangh discussed the situation in West Bengal, on which it had passed a detailed resolution in an earlier meet.<br/><br/>After the sessions of first day BJP national president Amit Shah had discussions with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and it is learnt that cabinet reshuffle was also part of it.<br/><br/>Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take part in sessions of the second day of meeting along with other state BJP leaders . <br/><br/>Home Minister Rajnath singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley are also expected to become part of the second day meeting in which issues related to internal security and economic condition of the country will be discussed further.

Two casualties reported due to Incessant rains in Assam <br/><br/><br/>There was no respite from rains in Assam. Incessant rains caused waterlogging in some parts of Guwahati city last night. Trees also uprooted due to storm .Not only this, several houses have been damaged due to storm. Road communication has been disrupted at Dima Hasao district due to rain and land slide.Two relief camps have been set up at Nilam Bazar area at Barak valley by the district administration. Two persons have died in Assam so far due to rain related incident.

The all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee has set a deadline for the central Government, to announce a time frame programme by 28th of this month for carving out Telangana state. The Telangana Join Action Committee (JAC), has resolved that the MLAs belonging to Telanagna region will thereafter mount pressure on Assembly Speaker for acceptance of their resignations. JAC Convener Prof Kodandaram said, after a meeting held on Tuesday evening in Hyderabad that it was also decided to organize relay hunger strike camps across the region from 16th of this month.<br/> The steering committee of the JAC will meet again today to finalize other programmes to be taken up in the region.
