State Level Programme of 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' under Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign organized in Chandigarh

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">In the Union territory of Chandigarh, a State Level Programme of 'Amrit Kalash Yatra' under the Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign was organized today at Tagore Theatre. The theme of the program was 'Mitti ko naman, Veero ka Vandan'.  </span> </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Punjab Governor and Administrator of UT Chandigarh, Banwarilal Purohit, attended the State Level function as Chief Guest. The function was attended by officers of Chandigarh Administration, Municipal Corporation Councillors, school students, and volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra and Jawans of CRPF and BSF.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Addressing the event Chandigarh Administrator Banwari Lal Purohit said that those who sacrifice their lives for the country never die, they rather become immortal and it is our duty to remind the new generation about the supreme sacrifice made by the brave. He said that 'Meri Mitti Mera Desh'  signifies feelings of unity, patriotism, and nation-building. He said that the soil collected from every house in Chandigarh and mixed in an Amrit Kalash will be sent to Delhi where the National Level program will be held.  </p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Sh. Purohit also administered an oath to everyone present during the function to serve the motherland, work hard towards nation-building, and always honor brave hearts.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Adviser to Chandigarh Administrator, Dharam Pal said that during the successful phase two of the "Meri Maati Mera Desh" campaign, the soil was collected from every household in the Municipal Corporation (MC) ward.
